In our fast-paced world it is sometimes hard to stop and reconnect with our inner peace and our inner creativity. Combining art and meditations is a powerful combination helping us reconnect with ourselves and nature. Natalie Bedford is a world-renowned artist who also has her work displayed in The Royal Academy of Art in London. She is based in Bath, Somerset but exhibits her work all over the country. Natalie not only sells her beautiful collections she also wants to pass on the skills that she has developed over the years to help others tune into their own creative channels by offering unique painting experiences that take place in your own garden with friends as well as working collaboratively with Caroline & Rosie at Wild Ivy Retreats to create a truly magical day of art, meditation, and connection. The retreats took place at the Wild Ivy home in Puttenham near Tring, Hertfordshire and before the day begins you are greeted with a herb tea followed by an introduction and a meditation by Rosie in their gorgeous tipi. Natalie then takes the art lessons. Students pick flowers from the garden and then learn how create a masterpiece of their own art through a series of techniques that Natalie cleverly teaches and demonstrates. Caroline is a natural forager and the students are given delicious vegan of dishes for lunch. At the end of this incredible day all the students are blow away with their creations. I would highly recommend this retreat to beginners and experienced artists – it’s a really beautiful day learning new art practises, reconnecting with nature and making new like-minded friendships.
