I was beside myself with excitement with the thought of this wedding. Seb & Daisy had booked their wedding in one of my favourite places on Earth…..It was to take place in Ravello on the Amalfi coast……!!! Wow, wow, wow…..if you have never been it is a stunning town set high over looking the Amalfi coast known for its stunning gardens and the best views in the world. Seb & Daisy were having an outdoor wedding at the gorgeous Villa Eva venue and were getting ready at the beautiful Villa Maria hotel near to the venue and as tradition in Italy the wedding was to start in the late afternoon so both Bride & Groom were feeling relaxed having just had a wonderful lunch with their family in the gorgeous restaurant at Villa Maria. I arrived at the bridal suite to find Daisy very calm and happy, sipping champagne and having her hair done while chatting to her brother who was to give her away. The room was very italian and very beautiful with a bed fit for a princess and a large balcony overlooking the hills beyond. I busily got to work taking some shots of Daisy getting ready before popping over to Sebastian’s room to get some of him getting ready – he was also very relaxed and excited about the wedding. Sebastian & Daisy wanted to see each other before the service so we decided on doing a first look on their balcony. Daisy anxiously waited out of the way while Seb arrived and went onto the balcony. Daisy come out behind him – Seb turned around and he was blown away – it was the sweetest moment. They look so in love and so happy together. The couple didnt want to spend time having any formal shots at the reception so we did all of the family and groups on the balcony – it was a hub of excitement. We all headed over to Villa Eva for the ceremony. All the guest were arriving and taking their places. One of their close friends was an amazing singer and guitar player so he sang while the Bridal party walked in. The location, the view and the music was so magical – really breathtaking….. It was hard not to be swept away with emotion. The couple exchange lovely vowels and Mark sang some more while all the guest clapped along. After the service, all the guests enjoyed the gardens, canapes and champagne on the lawn before the couple cut the most amazing wedding cake. The guest took their seats for the wedding breakfast and in between courses there were the speeches which were all heart felt and very funny. After the meal all the guests moved out onto the patio area where the Bride & Groom danced to the Dirty Dancing sound track and have spent the last year learning all the dance moves from the film…. It was absolutely unbelievable and an honour to be there sharing and documenting their very special day…..
