The DeVere Latimer Estate is steeped in history dating back to 1194 AD. The stunning hotel is set high on the Chiltern hills overlooking the river Chess in an idyllic English postcard village of Latimer near Chesham, Amersham and Little Chalfont in Buckinghamshire. The DeVere hotel makes for a beautiful and romantic backdrop to any wedding day with the picturesque countryside and elegant architecture.
It is possible to exchange vows at the hotel or if you prefer, they have a beautiful St Mary Magdalene church on the estate only a few hundred yards from the hotel.
Katy & Simon share a beautiful love story. They have been together for a number of years and share a gorgeous little girl together. Their initial wedding plans where sadly halted due to the pandemic however, the long anticipation was finally over and they celebrated their perfect day with all their family and friends in this truly magical setting.
On arrival Katy’s room was a hub of excitement – her talented friends assisted with the hair and make up for Katy and her gorgeous flower girls who added to the fun. Katy wore a timeless gown by Rembo Styling with a boho chic flare. As the bridal party made their way down the elaborate staircase Katy’s dad was waiting with tears in his eye. It is only a short walk to the church however, he wanted to drive her the short distance so, they could spend a few quiet moments together before he walked her down the aisle – it was a very touching moment. The groom and groomsmen waited patiently outside the church while greeting the guest on arrival. The groom wore a dapper suit by Marc Darcy. The service was perfect – beautiful floral arrangements by Nicky Doodson Flowers lined the aisle and heartfelt readings from her brother and best friend touched everyone. It was particularly moving when her dad showcased his musical talent by played the piano during the signing of the register.
After the beautiful service the guests followed the happy couple to the Devere hotel and enjoyed drinks outside and the children played games on the grass over looking the stunning countryside. Katy and Simon took the opportunity to steal a few precious moments together and have a few couple shots in the amidst the picturesque grounds before heading in for the wedding breakfast. The speeches where heartfelt and the best man had the guests in fits of laughter which really set the tone of the whole day – it was such a joyous day filled with so much love for the couple. The bride and groom cut the amazing cake created by The Little Berko Bakery before they took to the dance floor to get the party started. What an absolutely wonderful day and an absolute pleasure to be part of.
