The Little Book magazine – children’s fashion shoot

Since the weather is so unpredictable in the UK and with the recent rain we had been having Jemma, the Editor in Chief at the Little Book Magazine and I were getting a little anxious about the beach shoot and so decided to have a second shoot in place in case the weather did intact stop play.  Christine Maciocia was putting together a styled shoot for photographers at her house and so we decided to use this opportunity to have a little fashion shoot for the website.

The theme was to be a vintage tea party.  Jemma and I met at Christine’s house and headed into her garden to find a magical vintage inspired tea party that Christine had created with a massive, beautiful cake she has hand make from various props as the centre piece for her table.  The children were delighted and ran around squeaking while we hurriedly got them changed into some gorgeous clothes that Jemma has sourced from some fabulous children’s clothing ranges such as Mimo, Poppy Children, Vertbaudet and Monsoon.

The children seemed to be in the party mood and so we went with the flow and managed to capture the vibe and excitement of a beautiful, summers children’s birthday party.

We have also received some amazing feedback from the clothing companies about the shoot  – here is on from Katie Hordern and the Vertbaudet PR team…”Wow that cake is AMAZING!  I really love this shoot – it’s right up my street.  Thank you for including so many pieces from Vertbaudet, we are thrilled”.  And another from Bianca at MIMO “I have loved your beautiful coverage. Great pictures, great kids and I thought the trousers looked particularly good…..Thank you for including Mimo”.

Thank you again to the amazing Christine Maciocia for her fabulous and unique styling and props, Jemma from the Little Book Magazine for sourcing all the children’s lovely cloths, all the clothing companies and for Rebecca from Lilys Flowers who kindly donated all the beautiful flowers no the table.   We hope you enjoy the essence of the party…..
